Shilpa is a trauma-focused counsellor who is passionate about helping others heal from trauma - particularly sexual abuse.
Shilpa is a trauma focussed counsellor passionate about helping others heal. She has nearly ten years of experience walking with those bearing the wounds of trauma. This process can take time, and Shilpa's clients are consistently encouraged and helped by her warm, steady presence.
In addition to her private practice, Shilpa is a writer, visiting instructor and consultant both in India and internationally. Her creativity in blending different counselling models with her clients' needs has led her to do everything from training Christian leaders on trauma's impact to co-creating a drama production on the consequences of child sexual abuse seen in adulthood. Her work often serves as a bridge-builder between psychotherapy and faith communities.
Shilpa finds joy and comfort in her family, her two dogs Juno and Mocha, in her books and coffee! She also enjoys taking long walks and swimming.
